Why book with Calma and not an OTA like Booking or Expedia?
Honestly: availability and prices come from the same place as many OTAs. We use Nuitée as the provider underneath, so booking here or on another platform ends at the same hotel, with the same allotment and — barring exceptions — equivalent prices. What changes sits above that. You can book any hotel available in our catalog, but the ones we feature are an editorial selection: we pick them one by one, for where they are and how they feel, with human judgment and not just inventory or commission. If what you want is the longest list possible, a big OTA serves you better. If you'd rather someone filtered first, that's what we do.
Can I only book the hotels you feature?
No. You can book any hotel available in the search. The editorial selection is a recommendation, not a limit: if you have a hotel in mind that isn't featured, search it by name or destination and book it just the same.
Who handles the booking and the payment?
Availability, payment and confirmation are handled through Nuitée, our booking provider. We keep the relationship with you before, during and after: if something changes, you write to hola@calma.travel and we move it for you.
